Though the Fourth of July is the perfect opportunity to rock an American flag shirt and deck yourself out in stars and stripes, not everyone wants to own a garment that they wear only once a year. So in lieu of an American flag-printed shirt, we’ve found inspiration for some totally chic Independence Day outfits that will still keep you dressing in patriotic spirit – but with pieces that you can mix-and-match year-round.

Whether the stripes are red or navy -- these type of pieces are versatile and can easy mix into any wardrobe, not one reserved just for the Fourth! Additionally, chambray fabric definitely exudes the Americana vibe and is lightweight for even the hottest of summer days.

A pop of red - such as a purse, a bright red lip, or fun sunglasses can be a subtle and chic way to work it into a look.
